The Duffy site is located at the western corner of the Brentford Community Stadium masterplan site, bordered by railway lines to the South West and North and Lionel Road South to the East.
The site is a former coal yard. More recently it has been used as an office and assembly point for the project management and construction teams who built the new stadium and first homes.

In June 2014, the London Borough of Hounslow Planning Committee granted detailed permission for the new Brentford Community Stadium and outline permission for 910 homes over three phases at Lionel Road South. Together the sites fund the delivery of the Brentford Community Stadium and substantially contribute to local housing supply, including affordable housing within both the Griffin Park and Duffy proposals.
Additional planning applications have been submitted since 2014, including changes to the stadium and detailed designs for the homes on three of the four residential sites, all of which were approved by the Council.
Construction work on the stadium and first homes started in April 2018.
The stadium was completed in 2020, at the same time as Brentford FC were promoted to the Premier League.
EcoWorld have built 740 homes to date, comprising 487 for rent and 253 for market sale.
The community has been enjoying the new commercial facilities on site, including a Co-op store and coffee shop, as well as attending local social events.
